Virginia Giuffre’s Death Sparks Major Police Review – Did Cops Miss Warning Signs Before Epstein Survivor’s Suicide?

Western Australia Police have launched a formal review into their interactions with Virginia Giuffre in the months leading up to her death.Giuffre, 41, was one of the most prominent survivors linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking network.

She publicly accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, later reaching a multimillion-dollar settlement with him, and played a significant role in bringing worldwide attention to Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and the wider abuse network.Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025 at her home in Western Australia. Although authorities initially stated that her death was not suspicious, her family has continued to seek further answers.

Her brothers have called for a full coronial inquest, raising concerns about possible domestic violence and coercive control in the months before her death, and questioning whether police missed important warning signs.Police Commissioner Col Blanch confirmed that the review will examine all prior interactions between police and Giuffre. In addition, a group of domestic violence experts and researchers has urged the state coroner to closely examine the case, arguing that clear warning signs were present in her final months.

The review is still ongoing, but the case has already highlighted important questions about how effectively vulnerable survivors are protected, even after years of courageously speaking out against powerful individuals.
