Charlize Theron Refuses to Spoil Her Adopted Daughters with Wealth

Charlize Theron has made it very clear that her two adopted daughters will not be receiving any Hollywood free pass or special privileges just because of who their mother is. In a recent appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, the Oscar-winning actress opened up about her strict approach to parenting and financial responsibility.
She revealed that her children will be expected to get summer jobs, will start with a simple and basic first car, and will not be supported financially for the rest of their lives — even though their mother has an estimated net worth of around $200 million.“They just need to get a job that pays them because I don’t want to support them for the rest of their lives,” Theron said firmly. She also uses everyday situations as valuable teaching moments.
According to the actress, even a simple trip to Starbucks turns into a lesson. She tells her daughters: “Do you see how friendly they are? You have to be that friendly every morning at 6 a.m. — start getting ready for it.”The South African-born star adopted her daughter Jackson in 2012 and August in 2015. She has raised both girls as a single mother by choice, a decision she has repeatedly described as one of the healthiest and best choices she has ever made in her life.
