A 41-year-old former nurse, Rajwinder Singh, has been sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley, whose body was found partially buried on a remote beach in Queensland, Australia, in October 2018.Singh was convicted after a lengthy investigation revealed that his movements on the day of the murder precisely matched the location data from the victim’s mobile phone. India, where he evaded authorities for more than four years before being arrested in 2022 and extradited back to face justice.Court proceedings detailed how Toyah Cordingley was violently attacked while walking her dog along the beach. She suffered a deep cut to her throat and a total of 26 stab wounds in a frenzied assault.
