These remarkable identical twin sisters have made history by graduating at the very top of their class, achieving the rare distinction of finishing first and second overall. Adriana and Alyssa Lyons have become the first twins in their school’s 144-year history to earn the prestigious honors of valedictorian and salutatorian.

The 18-year-old sisters from Tampa, Florida, proudly walked across the stage on May 19, 2026, at the Academy of the Holy Names. Adriana graduated as valedictorian, while Alyssa earned the position of salutatorian.Throughout their high school journey, the twins consistently motivated and challenged each other to reach new heights.

Their strong bond and healthy sense of competition drove them to outstanding accomplishments. Together, they secured nearly $287,000 in academic scholarships, completed over 1,000 combined hours of community service — including a meaningful mission trip to Guatemala — and earned acceptance offers from several elite universities, such as the University of Virginia and UNC-Chapel Hill.Now, the sisters are embarking on the next chapter of their academic careers together.

They will both attend the University of Florida Honors Program, where they plan to major in chemistry on a pre-med track.
