The grieving mother of a 35-year-old nurse who was brutally murdered while she was secretly cheating on her husband has come forward with distressing new details about the horrific incident and her late daughter’s marriage to a well-liked and respected doctor.
Linda Campitelli, a dedicated 35-year-old nurse and mother, was savagely beaten to death inside a makeshift romantic love nest that had been set up in the back of her husband Jon Campitelli’s Chevy Tahoe in Palm Beach County, Florida, on the night of October 28, 2024, according to prosecutors.
Speaking out publicly for the very first time since the tragedy, Linda’s mother, Edina Russo, shared heartbreaking and shocking information during an emotional interview on Tuesday. She revealed that her daughter had been violently killed after being “beat to death with a tire iron” in what authorities described as a brutal and savage attack.
“What kind of a human does that?” the devastated mother asked in utter disbelief and horror. “Animals don’t even do that.”Russo also stated that she had absolutely no knowledge or suspicion that her daughter had been cheating on her husband, Jon Campitelli, at the time of her death.
